With Aiden’s back turned, I ditch my pants as fast as possible then practically run toward the safety of the water. Sure, the cool air speeds my movements, but that’s not the only reason I hustle.

Adrenaline races through my body as the warm water sloshes against my ankles, calves, and thighs. Holy shit. I’m doing this. I’m skinny dipping at thirty-nine.

I’m nervous for what comes next.

Excited too.

Because all those things Aiden said he wanted to do? I want them, too.

Mustering confidence I don’t actually feel, I peel my panties off under the water, then fling them toward the shore. Then I unclasp my bra and do the same.

When I woke up today, I did not have swimming naked with my uber hot ex-fiancé on my bingo card. A giddy awareness comes over me. I feel lighter. I feel free. I feel bold.

“Where are you going?” I laugh as Aiden swims out further. I prefer to stay where my feet touch the pebbled sand.

“You miss me?” He treads water a few yards away. His hard muscles ripple beneath the moonlit water.

“You lured me out here with filthy promises.”

“I did, didn’t I?” He swims closer, gliding through the water with his head above the surface. He slows his movements as he gets close, a shark circling its prey.

I’m very much looking forward to being his next meal.

His hands sweep around my waist and he tugs me to him.

I teeter and my hands reach for him. My legs lift and wrap around his body.

“Gotcha,” he says, as his hands move down to my ass. He gives my cheeks a squeeze and aligns our bodies even closer. Every hard inch of him presses against my softness. The playful grin on his lips fades as the tension in the air thickens. “Hey.” The tip of his nose skims along my earlobe, his breath whispering against my skin. “You good? This okay?”

I love that he is checking in with me. “I’m good.”

“Good.” His lips pull into a smirk that would melt my panties. If I were wearing any. I’m extremely aware of my nakedness. His too. My fingers itch to explore his body. There was a time I knew every scar. Every freckle. Every little thing that turned him on. I want to know all of him again.

“God, you’re so fucking beautiful.” Aiden presses barely there kisses down the column of my throat. His hands skim along my body with teasing touches that stoke a fire deep within my belly.

Need grows. Breaths come quicker. My clit pulses with the desire to be touched, and my center aches to take him in.

“Aiden.”

“Yeah?”

“Touch me.” I press a kiss to his shoulder and rock my hips forward. “Make me come.” My lips move up his neck, grazing the scruff of his beard. “Let’s do all the filthy things.” I whisper in his ear. “Please.”

“Yes, ma’am.” His hand cups my jaw, his mouth slanting over mine in a kiss that makes my toes curl. His tongue sweeps inside my mouth, tasting, exploring.
